Email notification when thread is read

Is it possible to receive an email notification when someone opens and reads a specif thread?

I know this seems a strange thing to do, but it does serve a purpose for us.

Perhaps there is a hack on vb.org but if you have a somewhat busy forum then your member is going to receive tons of emails and your mail server is going to be busy shooting emails like crazy

Email server load

It's basically to monitor the usage of different threads on a new forum thats only got a small, widely distributed user base, so that shouldn't be a problem.

This is not a feature of vB, and frankly I'm not aware of any hack that does this either. Nonetheless you can always request one over at vbulletin.org and hope someone takes it on.
