Subscribed threads results in mails with wrong URLs

Hi there,

I have a user reporting that he gets mails which lead to wrong vB URLs.

So when he gets a mail from our vB with the note to have a look at the new post in his favorite threads, e.g.

http://www.mcseboard.de/forum/showth...3&goto=newpost

http://www.mcseboard.de/forum/showth...8&goto=newpost

http://www.mcseboard.de/forum/showth...4&goto=newpost

(links are from today)

He gets the vB error message "Wrong ID".

Any idea what is going wrong here?

I have to say that we reorganized some forums and moved some threads on our forums, we created three new subforums and moved some 100 threads from here to there...

You removed the version number from the footer template so I couldn't tell which version you are running.

Try updating the counters - in particular the Forum and Thread info.

yes the version info is removed because of security matters, it's still 221.

Okay, I updated all counters, should it work now?

Hi there,

the problem is solved, it occurred because I moved the DocumentRoot to /forum, so there isn't a dir called /forum any more.

I created one, put a .htaccess with a RewriteRule in it, and now it works again,
