this isn't really something we can help you with since it goes beyond the feature set of vBulletin. there are several hacks on www.vbulletin.org that deal with non-vB page logins, etc. do a search over there.

managing users/login based on another database

I would like to integrate vbulletin with a private section of our site that requires login to access it (a support area).

When a user registers, we'd like to register that info with the correct vbulletin tables, and when they log into our support area, we'd like them to already be "logged in" to vbulletin.

    Does this make sense?

Are there any strategies for doing something like this?

    Thanks!
