  • Update from a hacked 2.2.1 to a 2.2.4

OK, I have some big hacks (some of them self-written) installed in my Board (currentloy 2.2.1) and I've waited for some major improvements to come out to update my board (which with all those security-fixes in 2.2.4 seems sensefull now).

I don't want to lose all my hacks or rehack the Board (took me about 2 days!), is there any changelog of which lines in which files were changed/added? How do the update.php-files work, do they replace code, overwrite files or what do they do?

yes, there's a changelog under members area.
upgradexx.php files only do template updates i think, everytime you run upgradexx you should upload all .php files in forums and admin folder except install.php, John has made it very clear.

Upload all the files except install.php, then load up the following web pages:
    http://your.site/forums/admin/upgrade15.php
    http://your.site/forums/admin/upgrade16.php
    http://your.site/forums/admin/upgrade17.php
When you are done, be sure to delete all the upgradex.php scripts.

Just to make it clear for me, do the updatexx.php-files OVERWRITE the Templates or do they just add lines to it?

      Thanks for your support !

I did this with a hacked board and it worked without a flaw.
