changing old "guest" posts to registered user posts

I migrated from UBB 5.x to VBulletin 1.1.5 back in February of 2001 and when I did that, a good number of "old" posts did not get fully updated, leaving the user who posted them unregistered even though the name exists in the database.

How can I convert these posts back to registered user posts and preferably, update the name of the user because at least one username has changed (but not the userid) since the upgrade.

We currently don't have the facilities within vBulletin to handle this. What you will have to do is create an outside script that will allow you to map guests to members via pattern matching and user input.
