  • Can non-member vote in a poll?

I'm using 2.2.2. Is there an option to let non-registered people vote in a poll? Or do I need a hack for it?

While we are on this topic ....

Is it possible to display a poll or two on say, on a home/different page ? i.e. define the poll in a posting/thread but show it in addition to the thread on a different page, and also the results, once someone votes.

It is possible but would require hacking --> www.vbulletin.org .

            Thanks,

            (a) assuming that a non-member is allowed to vote, is there a way that vb ensures that (s)he does not vote more than once ? If so how ?

            (b) I am assuming that vb does ensure that a logged in member does not vote more than once. Is there a way to identify the user based on session-id and cookies, if so, how ? What php module should I be looking at to get this information ?

            Thanks!
