Use different smilies and icons with different styles

I want to be able to use different post icons, and smilies for different styles. Now it asks for the image folder path in the style properties, and it does indeed use the different images, but it does not appear to work with the smilies, and post icons. Is there any way to do this, or am I missing something?

If this is not a feature, then it should be.

Woohoo, let's make it one!

I just put another style online, and it is a white version of my forum. But now the problem is that I have one dark version, one light version, and smilies/icons that won't hardly work for both versions.
