the clock for vBulletin never gives the rigth time. I live in california, so i set the clcok to GMT -8, Pacific Time.

But its always 3 hours ahead. I can fix it by putting it GMT -11, but si there any other way.

Did you change both the forum clock and your usercp clock?

I have to set my forum clcok to GMT -5 so that when I set my user cp clock to GMT -8, it actually works

If i set my forum clock to GMT -8 as well as my user cp clock to that, the time is displayed 3 hours ahead.

The forum clock should be set to the timezone in which your server resides and it is set to. It sounds to me like it is set to Eastern Time or GMT-5.
