URGENT: database corruption - need help - will pay

    Hi,
We have had a major database corruption on our post table. We have had a developer looking into it with little if any success. He suggested looking here for someone who has more experience with vBulletin to find some help. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone who is qualified and could step in to contact us could contact me directly at [email protected].
    Thank you.

I'd be very impressed but also very, very happy. If you go to http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/ you can see the general error. It looks like this:

      Database error in vBulletin 2.2.1:

Invalid SQL: SELECT COUNT(*) AS posts FROM post
mysql error: Can't open file: 'post.MYD'. (errno: 144)

      mysql error number: 1016

Date: Saturday 02nd of February 2002 02:53:00 PM
      Script: http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/forum/index.php
      Referer: http://www.bigsoccer.com/

We've gotten tons of other ones when running repair.php and myisamchk. Lemme know what you think. We are very desperate to find some decent solution. I'd be more than happy to speak with you on the phone or via email if it will help.

      Thanks,
      Ethan

normally using repair.php or myisamchk would do but i have seen instances where you need to recreate the index file or use safe recovery mode for myisamchk repair to fix it

I've tried using safe recovery. It runs, but still gives errors. The only myisamchk I haven't tried is force (i think -o). I don't know how to recreate the index file and would love to try it if you can. I would also be more than happy to give you access to see what you think.
          Thanks,
          Ethan

                Any..

Any idea what may have caused the corruption?

                Curious myself.
