  • Undeletable post/thread

    Hi.
    I can't understand why can't delete a thread !!!
(vb 2.2.1 near to be upgraded, but very hacked and hard work...)

    I MEAN A PARTICULAR THREAD/POST, very very small ...
I'm Admin and always have been able to delete/move/etc. This particular post (single post thread) I can't manage to delete.

If i try deleting thread, I get
    Database error in vBulletin 2.2.1:

    Invalid SQL: Resource id #16
mysql error: You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'Resource id #16' at line 1

    mysql error number: 1064

Date: Saturday 02nd of February 2002 10:44:12 AM
    Script: ..../postings.php
    Referer: ..../postings.php?action=deletethread&threadid=3170
The same post, if editing and flagging 'delete' option, I get:
    Database error in vBulletin 2.2.1:

    Invalid SQL: Resource id #24
mysql error: You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'Resource id #24' at line 1

    mysql error number: 1064

Date: Saturday 02nd of February 2002 10:47:48 AM
    Script: ...../editpost.php
    Referer: ...../editpost.php?s=&action=editpost&postid=14698
I can move it across areas,
i can reply it and edit/delete replies,
i can edit (without deleting) it,

    BUT CAN'T DELETE !!!!
I tried with other threads/ new posts and always the same...

Note. I verified both tables integrity ...

    Code:
You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'Resource id #24' at line 1
Smells like this is due to some code-hack you have applied. Maybe check over at vbulletin.org and ask the author of the code-hacks what this could be. Maybe you found a bug in their code-hack!

      Absolutely agree.
It sounds like a problem in some delete function in functions.php
Right two days ago put my hands on, and most probably made some mistake.
I'll check better. Do you know how investigate the errors reported ?
      Thanks a lot.
