    You log into the MySQL command line interface using your username and ID. You do not need to be an admin or root user as you are not installing any software.

    You can use FTP to move the backup from one host to the other.

    thanks but I'm not the admin of the machines and I'm moving from 1 host to the next host, do I cant copy from 1 directory to the next since they're completely different systems.

    I'm sure this has been answered but I couldn't find the link. Does anyone know a link explaining how to move a Vbulltin forum with threads inside of it from 1 host to the next?
