Hi everyone
I am upgrading from 2.0.0 RC1 to 2.2.1. I got all the files for the new version as well as all the upgrade files. I also got an Arabized vbulletin.style for version 2.2.0. The instructions posted along with that style says to load all the files for the new version (2.2.0) and then replace vbulletin.style that came with 2.2.0 with the Arabized one. After that I need to run upgrade13.php.
I do a fresh install for 2.2.1 with the new vbulletin.style, everything goes well. However, I tried the following methods to do the upgrade and all failed to display the bulletin with the Arabized style:
1. I uploaded the files for the new version (2.2.1) and replaced vbulletin.style that came with 2.2.1 with the Arabized one (for 2.2.0). Then, I applied upgrade7.php to upgrade14.php. The style stayed as it was on 2.0.0 RC1.
2. I started with the old files (for 2.2.0), uploaded the Arabized vbulletin.style and the upgrade files. I applied all the upgrade scripts. Then, I uploaded the files for 2.2.1 (except vbulletin.style). I still got the old style.
3. I tried to upload the style from CP from both the local and PC versions. The upload went OK. However, I still ended up with the old style and the old templates.
4. I uploaded the files for the new version (2.2.1) and replaced vbulletin.style that came with 2.2.1 with the Arabized one (for 2.2.0). I tried first to empty the "template" table through phpMyAdmin. Then, I applied upgrade7.php to upgrade14.php. The bulletin didn't work.
Freddie Bingham suggested to me to post a message in this regard in this forum. I hope someone will be able to spot what I am doing wrong.
