  • Database errors

    Hi,

got following database errors (my mailbox is nice , 100 emails in 4 minutes, yeah ).

    Database error in vBulletin 2.2.0:

    Invalid SQL: SELECT DISTINCT session.userid,username,invisible,usergroupid
    FROM session
    LEFT JOIN user ON (user.userid=session.userid)
    WHERE session.userid>0 AND session.lastactivity>1011104946
ORDER BY invisible ASC, username ASC
mysql error: Got error 127 from table handler

    mysql error number: 1030

Date: Tuesday 15th of January 2002 03:39:06 PM
    Script: http://www.overclockers.at/forum/forum/
    Referer:
My server crashed last night, now it's up again, but after some forum browsing, i got this error. Should i run the repair.php file? I think it will help. Btw: could anybody explain me, why MySQL got errors after a server crash? Because of not shutting down correctly?

    Any suggestions appreciated!

    Regards,

try running the repair file, it will check all the tables in your database, and attempt to repair them.

the problem is (just like you thought) that mysql didn't shut down properly, eg the table files are possibly still open, waiting to be written to etc.

hopefully, you'll be able to repair it
My open eyes see everything, and you see nothing. . .

exactly an improper shut down can cause corruption but just run the repair.php and following the instructions and it will be fixed.. just close your forum when doing this

I have closed my forum before repairing.

Now, i got this after running the repair.php file.

        Is it fixed now?

No, that means you need to run the following URL in your browser.

          repair.php?check=1&iterations=4&forum=vbdatabase

Change "vbdatabase" to your database name.

              New problem:

After the server crash and repairing the tables, some user accounts were deleted.

              wtf?

I think they were lost during the repairing thingy. Two members were deleted, but I really don't know exactly why.

                      Anyway ... solved.
