Anyone know why this might not be working?

Edit: Well, it works fine without the $bburl and I notice that where there are links in vB pages, they don't use the $bburl, but I'm curious as to why $bburl doesn't generate the correct string.

For some reason $bburl doesn't always work. I have not been able to figure it out myself...

Yup, I've seen it myself as well. Sometimes it doubles the folder and things like that.

Similar question, only how can my users find the url for a specific post if I don't include this link?

Just by copying the URL / shortcut from the "quote" button and modifying it slightly...

            Quote URL: http://vbulletin.com/forum/newreply....&postid=275685
            Post URL: http://vbulletin.com/forum/showthrea...685#post275685

That's how I do it anyway, just copy the URL from the quote button and modify it slightly. Tiding myself over until vB3 when there's a link on every post by default

              Very cool, thanks.

Similarly cool is a feature I just saw on a friend's non-vB board where you click on a link and it copies that post's url to your clipboard.

No reply necessary, I just liked that feature.

This looks like a good place to post a question re: postid

Can anybody tell me how one can solve this little detail:

                http://www.talkstox.com/forum/showth...3916#post13916

Not quite sure how to get rid of "postid" after a new reply has been submitted... Please advise...

Found the answer if anybody is interested:

                  In newreply.php

                  change: showthread.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&postid=$postid#post$postid

                  into: showthread.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&threadid=$threadinfo['threadid']
