  • Extreme Problems -- Need Help

I have had the worse luck with winning this battle with my Database.. My Forums randomly spit out odd errors, and database failures. It has only recently done this, and I don't believe it's the VB version (I upgraded this morning). It was doing this on my old VB2.0.3 and now doing it on my new VB2.2.1.

    1. The attachment shows a broken image of random (it's the same image as the others below and above it).
    2. It also shows an odd miss-positioning of items.
    3. It shows a forgotten numeral in the post column.
    4. Random misspell in image.. Which shouldn't be a broken image.
    5. Somehow a random break of "'/font>" came.
    6. Another random mispell.

But yes, I know the obvious; just a bad coding on my part, your administrator is messing around, someone's hacked into your admin account. All those are untrue, and it's been proved.

Another misterious issue is that if I reload it, it may come up another weird error like that above or come out normally.

Take a look at the attachment. I'll post more errors if others come..

Please, anyone, can you help me?

If this is the same board thats having problems, I doubt anyone here can help you.. Jelsoft does not provide support to hacked vBulletins because no one can know exactly what code you have changed....

          1. close forum
          2. run repair.php to fix any problems with database corruption and to defrag mysql so to speak
          3. if you right click the broken images and select view or show image do they load up ?
          4. what browser and version are you using ?

Read this. Close your forum and shut down MySQL and run myisamchk.

Did you run myisamchk after shutting down MySQL? MySQL must be shut down while running that. Just shutting down and restarting MySQL won't help.

Still no luck. Seems to be a problem with the smilie.frm file all of a sudden. It prevents anyone from viewing a topic/post, or posting a new topic/post.

I got this yesterday at 5:45 (CST), whenever the Database went down.

"The PostgreSQL server is down and cannot be restarted."

It was sent from my server's system account, so it was legit. Could that have any part in this?

Well, since support to me has gone dry, I deleted the table, smilie.

Now.. To get it back.. Anyone know how?

(Let's see if anyone will actually listen)
