.php3 to .php change with upgrade?

Hey all,

here is the issue:

I'm running a fixed/hacked version of 2.2.0. I don't care about keeping the hacks as I am willing to rehack. I need to know the correct steps to upgrade to 2.2.1 AND change from .php3 to .php extensions.

Download the PHP version of 2.2.1. Upload it. Then run the proper upgrade file after editing the config.php.new file and renaming it to config.php.

Then you need to edit each and every template you customized so that the php3 extension is changed to .php. You should be able to use the search and replace feature for this.
