    Is it my forum just has to many posts or what?

    Members: 57,238, Threads: 29,163, Posts: 119,732

    My members have probs with replying.. When they hit the buttom to reply it just freeze and nothing happens.

    Im going to turn the forum off and then use the repair script and the myisamchk but I dont think it will work

    Anyone else having these errors?

    Shouldn't matter, but it may have to do with how much space you're alloted for your mysql database. Dont know. There are owners here with much more than that (members and post wise) and have no problems.
    There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't

          It has nothing to do with the notifcation enabled.

          It just stops...

          If anyone wants to try and fix it. im willing to pay you for it.

            4. your mysql configuration variables located at /etc/my.cnf or c:\my.cnf if on Windows server if you don't have that file you need to log into telnet and as root user type

            mysqladmin -u root -p variables

            copy and paste output here

            5. your mysql extended-status output either still telnet as root user type

            mysqladmin -u root -p extended-status

            copy and paste output here

            or preferred is to installed extended-status output script which is located at http://vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=3477

                    your mysql key_buffer setting is set too high at 511+MB!

                    how much memory do you have on the server total ?

                    i'd lower it down by changing your /etc/my.cnf file

                    for 512mb and under try
                    [client]

                        you can create one and copy and paste the contents in by using telnet as root user create the file using pico editor

                        cd /etc
                        pico my.cnf

                        then copy and paste into the editor

                        then save file by ctrl-X

                        then restart mysql

                        and report your mysql variables

                        mysqladmin -u root -p variables

                            oh you need to change the 2 instances of

                            socket = /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock

                            in your my.cnf file to

                            socket = /tmp/mysql.sock

                            and restart mysql
