  • Changing the template for a single forum

    Is there a way to change the template for a single forum?

    We have 4 non-interactive (How-to) forums which are viewable to the users.

    Users can post (so we need the 'new post' button), but we don't want them to reply.

    We can turn off the switch which disables posts,

    (Control panel-->Forums-->modify-->edit a forum-->Open for new posts-->no)

    but this also will disable replies. Is there a way to allow posts, and prohibit replies?

    The best solution would be if users could post, and moderators are allowed to both post and reply.

    We'd like to use a custom template for these forums that replaces the 'reply' button with Only moderators are allowed to reply in this forum'.

    What would be the best way to do this?

    You can make a new style set using the images you want and force that forum to use that style.

    Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Modify -> Edit -> Style options

    Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)
