  • how does vb send its email for lostpw & registration?

I’m not very code worthy, but to help solve a problem, it would help immensely. I know the script works, and my host upgraded the service, so something messed up, and I asked them to format & reset my account to as if I was a brand new customer, and I still believe that there’s something wrong. If I could point out a specific area on how the script sends its email via validation or what command line it uses to communicate, in that area then it would like hitting a target. that’s the URL, as you can see it won’t work when your’ registering as it wont send you an email validation.

The website is hosted under Unix, and supports MYSQL.

hum, i guess I could be quick and short also

every script & .php file works, what function of the server isn't..well...functioning that isn't sending the emails.

I get this problem brought to me all the time with cpanel systems.. For some reason the mail() function isn't installed with the version of PHP thats installed on cpanel systems. It will need to be recompiled to add this support back.. I don't know if its strictly a PHP compiling problem, but when I do that it fixes the problem..

Just give your host the URL to this page, and ask them to fix it

And to anyone that askes, I know he's on a cpanel system because of Just incase anyone wants to tell me I shouldn't over guess people :P
