  • 3 styles + 1 forum = headache

I have one VB community but I want to be able to apply different styles to it depending on where the visitor comes from. So visitors from site 1 get style 1, visitors from site 2 get style 2, etc...

I've tried adding '&styleid=x' but that either only works for the homepage or that style becomes applied as the default

Please help me sort this out.

well for specific forums you can 'modify forum' and edit a forum and set the style in the forum to override the style set by the forum member.

This however only works for forums not the main vB index page..

for example my forum has 3 styles at

    http://animeboards.com/index.php?styleid=10
    http://animeboards.com/index.php?styleid=11
    http://animeboards.com/index.php?styleid=12 (original style)

i set it to default at styleid 10

and some members choose one of the 3 styles i have but one forum of my is set fixed to styleid 10 for my site at http://bubblegumcrisis2040.com/forum/

check it out.. if you follow styleid 11 http://animeboards.com/index.php?styleid=11 but check BGC forum at http://animeboards.com/f35/s it's fixed for styleid 10

    hope that helps

      Along the right lines

You've got what I'm aiming at going on with your styles, but the same thing happens with your styles as mine.

The first page you go to follows the style you set it, but as soon as you click a link the subsequent page reverts to the default style.

As each style set I use will have different headers and completely different schemes I need the style to persist for the entire session.

      Cool boards tho'

you need to be logged in on the forums for the persistent style to operate i think

when i click the above 3 styleid urls i keep the same style thorought the forum since i'm logged into my forum
