Hey I get plenty...well enough...sleep. But they changed it without consulting me, so I didn't know.

    LOL

Pruning *shouldn't* reduce post count...if you are doing mass-pruning. If you are individually deleting threads it will reduce post count.

    Eva,

Thank you very much for your quick reply. I can't have the member post totals go down due to a prune (my membership would revolt, find out where I live and burn me at the stake) .. so I'll check out that hack before I move forward.

    Thanks again!

pruning will reduce members post counts... that's how it works... there is a hack over at www.vbulletin.org which can prevent that but we don't support hacks..so install it at your own risk

Not How To .. but a Question

Sorry, I didn't know where else to put this .. so please feel free to move this to a more appropriate forum if necessary.

I'm going to prune my messages back because we're having some latency issues. Before I do the prune though, I wanted to make sure that posters don't lose their messages post counts (ie, Posts) .. because the folks on my board like to compete on their titles/post counts.

Thanks in advance for answering this question.
