  • Moved server - admin problems
    Win 2000
    PHP 4

I moved the database to a new server at the weekend. It seemed to have loaded up okay, but there some glitches. Can't get into the admin at all - get this message:

There seems to have been a slight problem with the database. Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.
An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.

Database error in vBulletin Control Panel: Invalid SQL: INSERT INTO adminlog (adminlogid, userid, dateline, script, action, extrainfo, ipaddress) VALUES (NULL,'120',1005053156,'index.php','','','')
mysql error: Unknown column 'ipaddress' in 'field list'
    mysql error number: 1054
Date: Tuesday 06th of November 2001 01:25:56 PM

Also, selecting 'edit profile' brings up this error:

Database error in vBulletin: Invalid SQL: SELECT *
    FROM profilefield
    WHERE editable = 1
    ORDER BY displayorder
mysql error: Unknown column 'editable' in 'where clause'
    mysql error number: 1054
Date: Tuesday 06th of November 2001 01:36:17 PM
    Script: /forum/member.php?s=&action=editprofile

Have tried repair.php and getadmin.php - don't seem to have any effect.

The ISP moved the server using MySQL tool, and seemed to just copy and paste the database from the old server to the new. Is that the source of the problem, and is it a thing that can be tweaked or do we need to completely re-istall / restore??

    MAny thanks

    1. can you please enter your username on the form on this page - to do so you need your customer license info to access the form

    2. did you do any forum upgrades prior or after the move of servers?

      1. - Done

      2. I used the version of VB that I down for another site (

The guys at the ISP then copied and pasted the forteantimes forum from the old server to the new. I presuming that this is why the problems are happening. They didn't have telnet or myphpadmin, so used the mysql tool
