  • *Not sure where to post this* but a question about attachments in posts

    where are they stored and will they not eventually fill up the webserver at some point of time? do you prune them over time or are they compressed into MySQL ??

    not sure if this is a dumb question or not.

    thanks for your help..

    I'm pretty sure they are stored in the database. When I go to back it up with then enabled, it's a huge file. With them disabled it's about 1/2 the size.

    I also have the same question to a degree. Can I get rid of attachments older than a specific date?

    I have set the limits on them just to keep things reasonable.

      @Asendin : They are in the mysql database. There is no function to prune them off.

      @XboxCenter.com : This would involve a hack.
