  • user who changed email address can't get into the site

    A user who changed his email address in the User Control Panel told me via email that since changing his address, he can't get into the site. What can I do to enable access for him?

    I think the glitch may be due to the fact that email verification didn't use to be required, but I changed that setting about six weeks ago to require email address verification when people register. But I think he registered after I changed that setting, anyway.

    I hope to hear back from someone soon about this! Thanks much.

    He supposed to receive his account activation code sent to his new email address.

    If he does not receive it, you can find his account in CP and change his group to Registered.

      Just so we get the dumb questions out of the way, are you 100% sure they are using the right login in details?

      First thing I would do is to email them their password from the Admin CP. Chances are pretty high that they are using the wrong password.
