  • forum jump?? Slow moving Board

My board seems to be running really slooooowww! It was fine when I first started but now it's lagging. I have heard talk about changing "forum jump" is this something I can do or does my hosting company have to do it? Any other suggestions. Would upgrading to php from php3 make a difference?

ok, I found the forumjump it may have speeded it up a little but would changing to php form php3 speed it up anymore or is it something with my hosting company. Everything else on my main page just zips! Except for my message board.

    thanks,

PHP4 (the .php extension) is notably faster and more optimized than PHP3. You can also take advantage of more optimizations in the code and newer features if available such as GZIP and ZEND Optimizer if you are using PHP4.

It will speed up your forums overall.
