Help! I've got a problem with one of the threads in forums, and I am worried that it could spread and corrupt my database further. A little info:

The thread has 37867 posts, and 59600 views - its not a serious post at all but treated as more of a real time chit chat on the forums. It was imported by freddie from our existing Ezboard and has been a great example of vbulletins power and scalability.

When I try and view the thread, I get this error:
mysql error: Got error 127 from table handler
    mysql error number: 1030
Date: Saturday 06th of October 2001 01:38:16 PM
    Script: /showthread.php?threadid=1289&goto=lastpost
    Referer: http://utassault.monsterkill.net/for....php?forumid=4
    Any help would be appreciated!

noticed your forum mysql is down with
Warning: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/monsterk/public_html/utassault/admin/db_mysql.php on line 40

Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/monsterk/public_html/utassault/admin/db_mysql.php on line 40
you need to restart mysql before you can do the belong...

      -------
      do the following

      1. close forum
      2. find repair.php from the extra's folder in your vB zip file
      3. upload repair.php to your vB forum's /admin/ directory
      4. load it in browser repair.php
      5. instructions will ask you to load into your browser a url... this is the one you need to load

      yourdomain.com/admin/repair.php?check=1&iterations=1&forum=dbname

dbname where that is the name of your vB database

      6. once do it should list the forums which have been repaired etc
      7. reopen forum
      8. make a back up of your forum for safe keeping

            www.kdawebservices.com

Its a shared server, so others will probably be experiencing problems too. I am told it will be sorted very soon - and when it is I'll run the fixes in the links you mentioned.

            Thanks
