  • Search Criteria as part of URL?

    Hi All,

Is there any way to pass search criteria to search.php within the url?

    Something like search.php?keyword="whatever"

    and your reason being?

As developed it is not possible but there may be a workaround if I know what your goal is.

      Thanks for you attention.

I would like to create some static links to standard questions that invoke the search engine to return relevent threads.

I don't fully understand how the search works but i do see that the URL includes a searchid in the URL. That searchid seems to change at times, perhaps due to re-indexing and such.

When that happens the link is no longer valid.
