  • restoring users from backup

    Hi i hope you can help

    The problem i had is i thought it was about time to delete old members and people with less than x amount of posts. so i backed up the user table and used the "Move/Prune" option and deleted a load of users. Now some of them i deleted was a mistake so am trying to restore them from my user.sql backup.

    I copy the line of that user from the backup to myphpadmin

    eg

    Code:
    INSERT INTO user VALUES ( '2', '37', 'username', 'password', 'e-mail', '0', '', '0', '', '429150', '', '', '', '1', '1', '1', <img src=\"images/5stars.gif\">', '1', '970977600', '1', '-1', '1001771249', '1001844837', '1001770932', '723', '-5', '1', '', '', '0|||fred', '1', '1', '1', '0', '0', '15', '0000-00-00', '-1', '1', '', '0', '1', '1', '0', '1', '0', '4', '0', '0', '0');

    And then it restores the account. It fully works and the user can get in and out the board np. but the problem i have is when i try and find the user, with the find option and put in his/her username they do not show..

    But if i do a "Move/Prune" they will show in there. also if i put the right link at the top of the page it will show there details and let me edit them.

    eg of link

    Code:
    domain/forums/admin/user.php?s=&action=edit&userid=3788
    also it will show them in the boards seach that the users can use. but it will not show it in an admin seach.

    any ideas?

                Try running this query:

                INSERT INTO userfield (userid,field1,field2,field3,field4) VALUES (2,'','','','');

                  That did not solve it.

                  All posts are set to gust.

                  Is there a solution?

                  if there isn't ... how would i run a query that would set all posts made by MIKE to userid = 2 ?
