  • Problem with User CP

Whenever I try to go to the User CP on my forums (, I get this error: (PHP is version 4.0.3 and mysql is version 3.22.32.. webserver is running Unix, with apache 1.3.12)

There seems to have been a slight problem with the database. Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.

    We apologise for any inconvenience.

Database error in vBulletin: Invalid SQL: SELECT privatemessage.*,touser.username AS tousername, fromuser.username AS fromusername, icon.title AS icontitle, icon.iconpath FROM privatemessage, user AS touser, user AS fromuser LEFT JOIN icon ON icon.iconid=privatemessage.iconid WHERE privatemessage.userid='1' AND folderid=0 AND touser.userid=privatemessage.touserid AND fromuser.userid=privatemessage.fromuserid AND messageread=0 AND privatemessage.fromuserid<> AND privatemessage.fromuserid<>26 ORDER BY dateline DESC
mysql error: You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'AND privatemessage.fromuserid<>26 ORDER BY dateline DESC' at line 1
    mysql error number: 1064
Date: Friday 21st of September 2001 04:19:16 PM
    Script: /forums/usercp.php?
Since the technical staff is me... it's not much of a help.

What can I do to fix this problem?

Before posting help like this I recommend going to the "Search" button up top there, u see it?? Okay and type in "mysql error: 1064". Chances are someone has asked the same question before. Anyway I think this will help you.

Well, apparently this whole mess had to do with my imported UBB accounts. Anyone above a regular user (me and the moderators) experienced a problem with the User CP, but regular members didn't. As it turns out, I had to delete my account and re-create it. Thanks for your help, though.
