I have instructed my forums to behave and assume the same sixe and shape of their relative parent sites. On the whole it has worked nicely - but showthread.php expands to far wider than it should, forcing scrolling at 800*600. I notice vBulletin forums are doing the same - yet Sitepoint does not. Any advice?

Ooops - I lied! It's "forumdisplay.php" and it happens only when there are no subforums (just threads)

Do you have a link to the forumdisplay page that does it? I am in 1024*768, but here and here are actually smaller than your header at the top.

Hmmm - both of those pages are examples of it on this pc (800*600).

Weird... I just switched to 800*600 (everything's so much bigger!), and it still looks fine -- it's smaller than your header. (Win98, IE 5.5)

Bizzare!! I've just tried it at work and you are absolutely right.

            I used Opera, NS4.7 and IE 6.

At home I use IE 5 - perhaps that's the problem? Or maybe my systems kerfecked. Well, thanks for looking into it.
