user / mail / installation problem

  • user / mail / installation problem

    this is the first failure but some friends told me that this is np so i inst


    PHP version: 4.0.3 ... Passed!
    MySQL support in PHP ... Passed!
    PCRE support in PHP ... Passed!
    magic_quotes_sybase disabled ... Passed!
    track_vars enabled ... Passed!
    register_globals enabled ... Failed!





    User and registration options is YES
    but no user recieves an email

    they are registered but i couldnt find them in my CP

    WHEN a user reg. he gets an error(but than it works) an i get this mail (EVERYTIME a user reg)

    Database error in vBulletin: Invalid SQL: INSERT INTO userfield (userid,field1,field2,field3,field4) VALUES (,'','','','')
    mysql error: You have an error in your SQL syntax near ''','','','')' at line 1
    mysql error number: 1064

    Sounds like a userid isn't being assigned for some reason. Copy repair.php from your extras/ directory to your main vB directory and run it from the web, following the on screen instructions to repair the database. Can people register now?

    Also, user and registrations options is a whole group, so I don't know how you have that as yes. Is that what you meant?

      i meaned that i have marked YES (send user an email to verify his emailadress)

        Hmm.. ok, you only have MySQL 3.22. Do you have a URL I can check this out at?

          and its a host with MANY users so i dont know if they will upgrade the db.

                Looks like an isolated issue when their MySQL server was having some problems as I couldn't get it to happen again.
