Can you merge a vB Forum with a UBB Forum?

Say you have an existing VB forum with members, posts, etc.

You want to add another UBB forum into your existing VB forum. Can you import in on top and the import will figure out the numbering? Can you import it into a seaparate VB and then merge VBs? A

Currently there is no vB -> vB importer although we will likely introduce one in the future (but as of now it is not being worked on).

The UBB -> vB importer will work on either a fresh database or a database with posts/members/etc. already in it. You can import multiple UBB's (or other boards that importers are available for) into one vB.

Does it handle identical usernames now or is that still a problem?

I'm not aware of any problems with the import scripts right now. I assume you are talking pre-2.0.0 with the old scripts. If that is the case, yes it is fixed (the scripts were rewritten in their entirety).
