    Nope, I use v2.0.3 myself. And besides, this should work on any version from 2.0. I think...

        lol

        it is indeed eva my man

        ok, about the problem.

        this is the error I get when I use the 2nd code you gave me :-

        Parse error: parse error in /home/theplace/public_html/admin/functions.php on line 616

        Fatal error: Call to undefined function: vbsetcookie() in /home/theplace/public_html/admin/sessions.php on line 185

        And this is how the code looks in functions.php which is the file in /admin

        if ($bbuserinfo[username] == "David") {
        $dohtml = 1;
        }
        return bbcodeparse2($bbcode,$dohtml,$dobbimagecode,$dosmilies,$dobbcode);
        }

        I use 2.0.3, as eva correctly suggested, and did exactly as you said

        The FIRST code didnt give me an error but html didnt parse.

        I hope you can help me more.

        thank you

          I too tried to implement this, using the userid option. However, when I try to post I get "Fatal error: Call to undefined function: getpostbit() in /home/httpd/forum.mysite.co.uk/docs/showthread.php on line 396"
