storing uploads

I would like to enable the use of uploading. Mainly images. Has anyone figured out to upload files via VBulletin to a different server? I have space and bandwidth concerns.

You would need to write a custom hack to FTP the images to the remote server. This is not within the scope of vBulletin's default operation.

With my limited knowledge, I am postive it is beyond my scope as well. Has anyone worked on such a hack?

Not to my knowledge... difficult to see that there would be much of a call for it, as so many hosts have now disabled off-site linking.
