  • Error 1016 : repair.php won't run

    Hello,

My board stopped working suddenly. I hadn't made any changes to it, so I know I did break it!

The error I get is Error 1016. And i uploaded repair.php to the ADMIN directory..and run repair.php?html=1&check=1 but it doesn't work.

Running Repair without the ?html and check does 'work' (gives instructions)

But when I run the check I get the "There seems to have been a slight problem with the [board] database." error.

Since I can't get repair to work.. what are my options?

You can repair tables in phpMyAdmin.

PhpMyAdmin is a MySQL database management tool. Most web hosts provide this as part of the web site management tools such as CPanel, Plesk or Ensim. Look for a link to SQL or MySQL Databases. If you can't find it I suggest you ask your host about this.

If for some reason they do not provide phpMyAdmin or an equivalent MySQL manager, then you can download and install phpMyAdmin yourself from this location:

          Thanks!

That program wouldnt run either on my server! Returns an error. I think there is something major going on.
