Hooking into Chat?

As I've skimmed around the forum here, I've seen references to buttons that allows a direct link to chat and such. Could someone tell me more about this and/or give me a link to a site where it's used? Does this hook into any chat program I might be running? Is it a specific chat associated with vB? Just a little direction so I can see what's up with it. It sounds like fun. Thanks! ~ Heidi

Actually, your best bet is to run a search on chat hacks in the code hacks forums. There are a lot of different ways to do this and there are a number of threads which you may want to look through to get an idea. Good luck.
