I am upgrading from 1.1.6 to the current version

In 1.1.6 we have a .htaccess file with the following entry:

    php_value magic_quotes_gpc 0

Does the current version require magic quotes gpc on or off and magic quotes runtime on or off

    Thanks

It is recommended, however not required, that magic_quotes_gpc be turned off. I don't know about runtime, though.

magiq_quotes_runtime gets turned off in the script automatically, so they don't really matter.

If you want to save some processing, turn off magic_quotes_gpc. Having them on will just make us run some code.
