  • file too big to post??

    how come users cant post big files on my board?

    i have it enabled, and it seems to go through, but then it just kind of crapps out and doesn't show

    it uploaded and everything, but then it just doesnt show up

    dont have that problem with small files

    big im talking like 1+MB

    I believe there are PHP/Apache settings that control this...you'll need to change it in php.ini and httpd.conf if you have a dedicated server, otherwise you need to ask your host to do it for you.

          upload_max_filesize = 2097152       ; 2 Meg default limit on file uploads
          Something similar should be in your php.ini. And make sure it's smaller than the max file size you set in vB.

            yup.. did that

            now it actually posts.. but then vbulletin screws up and just displays a bunch of garbage (a ton of goobily gob) on a white background screen
