  • Changing Avatars through CP gives repeat login

    Hi there,

I tried to change a user's avatar through the ControlPanel which gave me a repeated login box after browsing the image file and trying to save.
    So I couldn't change this person's avatar w/o tricking...

Is this a known problem? Did a search on it, but didn't find anything.

My version is 2.0.1, upgraded from 2.0.0 couple of weeks ago.

    thanks,
    -Tom

I can't reproduce this - are you sure you have all the latest files etc uploaded?

      Hi,

      hmmm, okay I'll check that.
Unfortunately I don't have access via ftp until the weekend

But thanks for looking into that!

...and congrats for becoming mod here, that's new, isn't it?!

        Still repeating login?

        Hi again,

I just downloaded a fresh copy of vB from here and reuploaded the admin directory, but still get the repeating login.

I tried to install Kier's "Show admin groups" but didn't manage 'cause of the same problem...

        HELP!

        What is going wrong here?
        Thanks,
        -Tom

P.S.: Maybe the error here wasn't fixed?

If *you* turn on the option to save your username/password, does it still happen? If not, then it's caused by code that's gone in 2.0.2.

            That's it!

            Hi Mike,

pheew, thanks indeed, it works with this setting and I surely can live with that until 2.0.2 ...
Changing avatars, as well as installing Kier's great self-installing hack worked like a charm.

Thanks Mike, always there when we need help!
            Cheers,
            -Tom
