Private forums?!?

I have done a search through this forum for private forums. As they didn't answer my questions... here goes.

I would like to set up a forum (lets call it forum Y) so that only moderators, admins, and the usergroup "Adults" can post in it. Registered members should be able to view, but not post.

This is what I have done so far.

*The forum is not private (I want others to be able to read it).

*Under Usergroups and Permissions > Modify, the usergroup adults has the same setting as the usergroup Registered.

*Under Usergroups and Permissions > Modify forums, forum Y is using custom settings for registered users, with everything set to NO except for viewing, searching, e-mail to friend, and view others' threads.

HOWEVER.

This is what puzzles me. Registered users not in the "adult" usergroup can still post in this forum!

What am I doing wrong?

Well, that sounds correct -- could I have a normal (non-Adult) login to see what I can find out? If I can't find anything, I'll need to login to your CP and see if I can find anything there.
