Database error emails....anybody help?

I keep getting emails (approx 20 per day) as follows:

Database error in vBulletin: Link-ID == false, connect failed
mysql error:
mysql error number:
Date: Wednesday 11th of July 2001 09:25:07 AM
Script: /forums/index.php?s=
Referer: http://www.star-forums.com/forums/search.php?s=

The ISP is very good (tera-byte.com) and have been extremely helpful to date. They tell me there is nothing wrong with the server including the sql side.

Anybody any ideas?...at the very least the emails are annoying. No members of the forums have yet emailed me (webmaster/adminisrator) highlighting any problems.

Try turning $pconnect off (set it to 0) in config.php and see if that helps.

How many users do you average on your board concurrently? What's your max users online record?

Ok...i turned $pconnect off (to 0) and i'll see what happens.

We only have 10-15 visitors average online at any time.
