smilies link or smilie

some of my forums have a link to the smilie, whereas some of the forums have the actual smilie image. Why is that? I believe that the forum settings are the same in each forum. Is there something I am not noticing in the CP?

Did you import from another board or have you always used vB? Sometimes I believe imports (especially from UBB) can cause this (although not with the new import scripts)

Yes, it is an import. from the firts issue of vB2.0

is there a way to fix this?

btw, it is happening on NEW smilies as well. and not in all forums, just in some.
