  • backup through admin panel core dumping

I just tried my first backup through the admin panel, after using V2.0 for about 3 weeks.

It runs for about a minute, then rolls over to a blank page and leaves a core dump file in the admin directory, as well the (partial?) backup file.

When I do a mysqldump via telnet the size comes out at 2481914 bytes. The file that I get when running the backup through the admin panel is only 180224 bytes. (The core dump file is 5.5 meg).

Any clue what might be going wrong?

Can you take a look at the end of the partial backup file that is saved - are there any PHP errors there?

Can you provide any useful looking information from the core dump?

Since this seems to be PHP crashing for some reason, you might also want to report it to the PHP bugs team.
