  • Limiting custom uploaded avatar height and width

    Maximum Dimensions
    Maximum width and height (in pixels) that the custom avatar image can be.

    All it has is one input box. How do I put the command for custom uploaded avatars to be no wider than 128 pixels, and no taller than 170 pixels?

    At this point it has to be square unless you want to hack this line in member.php:

    if ($imginfo[0]>$avatarmaxdimension or $imginfo[1]>$avatarmaxdimension) {

      For those of us not completely, or even nearly fluent in PHP... how would we change that line? How would I set a second $avatardimension variable to make the height differant than the width? Or would it be easier to statement from a 'if x or y' statement to some other statement?

        vB3 gives you the option to do this.

          Ok.

          But can I do something with that code from vbb 2 to change it from square avatars to rectangle maximums?

            That would require hacking. Ask over at vbulletin.org.
