Hi there,
had the same problem, I adjusted the time offset in the CP to GMT although I'm not on GMT but GMT +1.
My hoster has screwed up local time and gmt time in the server setup and keeps pretending that everything is okay.
Here's how I proove that via SSI:
date_local: <!--#echo var="date_local" -->
date_gmt: <!--#echo var="date_gmt" -->
Checks both times and you see what's going on regarding server time.

Sorry for the late reply...
Just create a normal .html file, put both lines in and rename the file to .shtml
SSI has to be enabled on your server in order to function,

You need to find out from your host what timezone your server is located in, and set the option in the Admin CP > Options page appropriately. This will allow the board to determine GMT. From there, set *your* timezone under User CP > Edit Options and it should display the correct time for you.

Hi tube,
you're right, but:
My hoster keeps pretending that everything is set right on the server. When I look at those variables
date_gmt - Saturday, 16-Jun-2001 11:44:21 GMT
date_local - Saturday, 16-Jun-2001 13:44:21 MEST
It seems that there's someting wrong.
I understand that GMT is never going on DST and we're currently on DST, but nevertheless I couldn't set my correct timezone, which is GMT +1.
The clock would show 12:49 though it's 13:49 here...
I set vB in the CP to GMT and every user to 0 offset and now it shows the correct time
I don't understand that and I don't have a good feeling about that, but it works this way and no other as far as I can see
cu,
-Tom
P.S.: @vortex6930 & Atif - I hope you have more luck!www.MCSEboard.de
