  • Can't login to CP. Tried fixes below...

    I upgraded to 2.0.1 and still can't get into the Control Panel.

    "Open a phpmyadmin session and to the following:
    UPDATE user SET cookieuser=1
    If that does not help, do this one after it:
    UPDATE user SET nosessionhash=1"

    Didn't fix it.

    Modified sessions.php:

    code:-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- if (!$bbuserinfo['cookieuser'] and !$loginpassword) {
    // the user doesn't want to automatically login with cookies, but the cookies are still around for some reason
    $bbpassword = '';
    }
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Didn't fix it.

    I can log into the forums with the "admin" user, but if I use the correct password on the Control Panel, it just goes right back to the CP login screen. If I use a wrong password, it tells me that it's wrong.

    vB 2.0.1
    MySQL 3.22.25
    PHP 3.0.12
    BSD/OS
    Apache

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Does your server have track_vars enabled? If not, you'll need to enable it -- there are 2 or 3 ways that can be done.

      track_vars not set

      No, it's not set. I may not have access to the php3.ini file. Is there another way without changing the file or recompiling?

          fixed

          PHP is running as an Apache module. I ended up adding <?php_track_vars?> to the top of each file. Seems to be working fine now. Many thanks!
