Uploading avatars???

Is it possible to upload avatars manually using ftp programs?
If possible, which directory should I upload to?

The website that I am hosting my bulletin board doesn't allow uploading scripts. Thus, it is not possible to upload using the feature inside the admin control panel.

Can someone please help?

Upload them to a directory called
avatars
or something similar under your
images
directory, then go to Admin CP > Avatars > Add.

yes it is. upload it anywhere on your site and when you enter the admin section of vbulletin under avatars where it says to specify a location type the location of the folder in there.
