problems with searching

I try searching these forums and I keep getting messages like this:
The search term you specified (per) is under the minimum word length (4) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.
If this term contains a wildcard, please make this term more specific.


It shows the same message for searches run on terms of more than 4 words.

If you search for

my word

you will receive that error because "my" is under the limit. Make sure both (all) words are above 3 characters.
