OK I upgraded a few days ago to candidate 3 and other than an attachement issue that was addressed everything seemed to be fine.
But now out of nowhere I am getting MySQL errors that prevent anyone from seeing my board.
Check out http://www.wdforums.com
You will probably get an error that says
==================
Warning: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (111) in /home/wdforums/public_html/forums/admin/db_mysql.php on line 38
There seems to have been a slight problem with the database. Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.
==================
You can do any combination of style id's like
and they will probably give the same error
But if you go to
You will notice the domain name change. They are domain parked on top of wdforums.com but for some reason I do not get the errors with them. One person did report the same mysql error when using the spellcheck on the parked domain though but they can still get the main board.
The email I get about the issue always something like this with only the "Script:" changing
===================
Database error in vBulletin: Link-ID == false, connect failed
mysql error:
mysql error number:
Date: Friday 18th of May 2001 10:29:00 AM
Script: /forums/index.php?styleid=1
