  • Hope this was just me

I was uploading the files for my upgrade from RC 2 to RC 3.
And it was about I dunno, half way done and I got a permission denied error on my upload.
I closed my FTP client, tried again, this time I couldn't see anything in it. I Telnetted/ssh'd in, ls, PERMISSION denied.
I had to call my hosting company have them reset stuff.
And of course my forums are toast (forgot to backup, my fault).
I can't see how uploading files would tweak my permissions, so I'm guessing it's the turd throwing monkeys at the hosting company.
Anyone else have a problem like this?

That has nothing to do with vBulletin, it is simply something you / your host altered.

      Yeah
      I figured it was them.
So I start the fun and long process of reinstalling vBulletin.
And I can't access the MySQL server.
I check the PHP Admin and apparently it can't access it either.
I call those monkeys back up.
Apparently it hit the entire server, so everyone had permissions problems. Including the MySQL database.
      I am sooooooooo pissed off.
